Document Controller / Document Writer - Engineering Client

We are currently looking for a document controller to join my client based in Rotterdam, Netherlands and Remote working. The client is particularly interested in candidates with a technical engineering background, who have experience in document control, ideally with NORSOK experience.

The client is working with a Norwegian EPC contractor, so if you have any experience working with Norwegian contractor or on Norwegian projects, it would be much appreciated.

The preference would be for a document controller who has worked in an engineering environment with a technical background. The client specifically requires candidates to work as the intermediary for document review sitting between the equipment supplier and the epc contractor.

LOCATION: Rotterdam office, Netherlands - Remote working

DURATION: 3-4 Month Initial projects

REMOTE WORKING: Client is happy with remote working / Part time remote is also feasible

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

Document controller to join our client in Rotterdam, Netherlands, for a technical role working on engineering project documentation.

The client is a process engineering equipment supplier, they have delivered the equipment, but they are still working through the final reviews for the documentation they provided.

You would be involved with collating client queries, speaking with the engineering team to gather documentation, speaking with the suppliers of our client to procure any missing information/documentation.

Documentation to be collated:

Supplier technical information

Certificates for equipment

Certificates for inspections

QAQC documentation

Technical drawings

Schematics

Confirmation that standards are listed in documents

Document Controller

Experience in document control for engineering clients, projects, construction

Working history in the Energy, Oil and Gas, Chemical or similar industries very beneficial

Any technical knowledge of mechanical or process equipment beneficial

Any other knowledge of certification standards/industry standards is beneficial (i.e. NORSOK)

Ability to write technical and fluent English essential

The client has advised that they would be happy to have candidates based in Netherlands already or would be prepared to stay in the Rotterdam region for brief trips to site and then work from home.

The client requires a technical author to join them on a contractual basis, the role would be to support the projects team, checking technical documentation and working on/updating existing documentation in line with current projects and equipment being delivered.
