For our client, a globally operating PE-firm, we are looking for a Senior Accountant. In this role, you will become part of an international team that oversees complex international investment structures and transactions. This team coordinates all structural aspects of the investment process as well as actively manages operational and financial reporting services for the funds’ holding companies domiciled outside the United States.
This Senior Accountant position will work to assist with the financial reporting and tax compliance processes for the investment holding companies in the Netherlands. This role involves interacting with the administrators, deal professionals, and external advisors to deliver financial statements as required by regulators, lenders, and co-investors. For this you will work closely with the Finance Manager, who is also based in the Netherlands and the one you will report to.

University level degree in Accounting, Finance or similar
3 – 5+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Auditing and/or Tax
Experience with financial statements preparation/review (Dutch GAAP/IFRS)
Basic understanding of the Private Equity and Investment Management industry
Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, both written and verbal
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Motivation and interest to pursue innovation and automation projects
The ability to pay attention to details, to prioritize and perform under pressure
Good interpersonal skills and strong in building working relationships and gaining credibility

Assisting corporate actions required to maintain affiliated Dutch companies in compliance with local regulatory and statutory requirements
Assist with the quarterly and annual financial reporting processes for investment holding companies in the Netherlands, which includes coordination of and involvement in the audit process and the CIT return filing process
Be the first main contact for service providers (administrators, auditors, tax advisors) to support the day-to-day operations in the Netherlands
Review of investment/transaction related documents and ensure that transactions are accurately captured in the administration and financial reporting and disclosures
Review supporting schedules (such as cash reconciliations, interest calculations, company holding security reconciliations, investment cost schedules, etc.)
Work closely with Cash Management, Tax and Fund Accounting
