Recruitment Consultant at g2 Recruitment - Placing freelance HSEQ professionals across the Benelux

A client of mine is searching for a Freelance E&I Engineer to work on a wastewater treatment plant in Utrecht. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and commissioning electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the wastewater treatment plant.

Key Responsibilities

Design and specify low-voltage (LV) power distribution for pumps, blowers, conveyors, and control cabinets.

Implement sensors for flow, level, pressure, temperature, and water quality monitoring.

Develop PLC/SCADA integration for remote pump control, dosing systems, and automated valve operation.

Ensure programming aligns with control specifications.

Oversee panel fabrication, site installation, and system testing.

Qualifications

Experience in electrical design, instrumentation, and automation (PLC/SCADA systems).

Knowledge of Dutch/EU standards.

Proficiency in EPLAN, AutoCAD, or similar design tools.

Strong understanding of power distribution, control systems, and field instrumentation.

Project coordination and communication with multidisciplinary teams.
