Network Engineer (Aruba)(Automation)

The Role

We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join our in-house IT team on a permanent basis. This is not a consultancy role — you will be working directly for a well-established organisation with a large, complex enterprise network environment.

You will be responsible for the design, delivery, and ongoing support of our network infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on automation and standardisation. The goal is to reduce manual intervention, improve consistency, and increase operational efficiency across the entire network estate.

What You'll Be Doing

Designing, configuring, and troubleshooting enterprise networks based on

Aruba switching and wireless

technologies

Managing and optimising LAN/WAN environments, including routing and switching (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF)

Developing and implementing network automation using

Python and/or Ansible

Working with APIs and automation platforms to integrate network operations with wider IT systems

Applying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to network configuration and deployment

Monitoring network performance, identifying bottlenecks, and proactively resolving issues

Contributing to technical roadmaps and helping shape the future of the network environment

What We're Looking For

Strong hands-on experience with

Aruba

(switching and wireless)

Solid background in enterprise network design, configuration, and troubleshooting

Good knowledge of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, and routing/switching protocols

Experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, or similar)

Understanding of APIs, automation platforms, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles

Practical experience with network monitoring and performance troubleshooting

Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written)
