The Purpose of this Position:
The successful candidate will be co-responsible for maintaining a reliable, secure, and efficient data communications network in our organization. Also, the role requires someone who can troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network related issues, and assist end-users with technical problems. The ideal candidate will have the skills and expertise to deploy, configure, maintain and monitor all active network equipment, ensuring seamless network operations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintain a maximum level of Network Uptime.
Network monitoring and reviewing of logs for incident problem detection and resolutions.
Network and other technical incident management, implementing mitigation procedures.
Network Security and Firewalls (AV, Web Filter, Application Firewalls etc.)
Manage and troubleshoot the LAN/SD-WAN and network switching and routing segments.
Ownership of all aspects of AD, DNS, DHCP, Users, Computers, Groups, GPO, AD Sync etc.
Complete management of O365 & Mimecast environments.
Setup, configuration, monitoring, upgrading, and troubleshooting of Windows Server, VMWare, and Veeam Applications.
Planning and executing hardware and software upgrades.
Manage assigned projects within stipulated timelines and provide regular feedback.
Act as 2nd line support (escalation) for 1st line support staff.
Incident escalations and incident resolution.
Periodic vendor engagements to ensure an updated environment and vendor SLA standards.
Create & Maintain all Network and SOP documentation.
Perform the duties as outlined in the Maintenance Checklist Document.
Requirements and Skills:
An appropriate IT qualification and relevant certifications.
At least 3 years knowledge and hands experience in the following:
Aruba Switch configurations – routing and VLAN’s
VMWare
Veeam Backup & Replication
Windows Server
Active Directory
O365
Mimecast
Experience with firewalls and VPN’s.
A highly analytical mindset with superb problem-solving skills.
Great at organizing, prioritizing, and multitasking.
Ability to take ownership.
Team player
Strong organizational skills
Adapting Change
Process-oriented with great documentation skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
