Lead PHP Developer

Responsibilities

Lead developer in an Agile team, hard working and able to share knowledge, help team members and perform the necessary work.

Write tickets, groom the backlog and manage the sprint.

Represent the development team toward management.

Motivate the team and contribute to creating great digital products and services.

Have a good understanding of PHP web development, DevOps, and participate in taking the platform to the next level.

Clear vision for starting and guiding a greenfield project

Eager to learn and adopt new technologies, even if it means switching frameworks or platforms

Hands-on, willing to put in extra effort when needed

Determined to find solutions to challenging technical requirements

Social, able to work towards deadlines and in a team

Values a non-corporate culture where people and culture are valued

Living in the Amsterdam/Haarlem/Alkmaar area or willing to relocate within Europe/EEA (we can assist with accommodation; sponsorship not offered)

Skills

Ability to assist and guide developers

Lead experience in a PHP development environment for 3–5 years

Expertise in design patterns and willingness to follow and improve existing patterns

Expertise in PHP, SQL, SOAP, REST API

Experience with PHP frameworks (Laravel/Symfony)

Familiar with Composer

Knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, AJAX

Git skills

Linux and Bash scripting

Experience with unit testing
