Mechanical Engineer

Our client is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join their established team in Paarl . This role involves contributing to various stages of the product development cycle, from initial design concepts through to manufacturing support. You will work on projects that require a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application, ensuring that mechanical systems perform optimally. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and test mechanical components and systems according to project specifications.

Utilize CAD software to create detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and 3D models.

Perform calculations and analyses to ensure designs meet structural, thermal, and functional requirements.

Collaborate with manufacturing and quality assurance teams to resolve production issues and improve processes.

Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation and Bills of Materials (BOMs).

Troubleshoot mechanical problems and propose effective solutions to enhance product performance.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

2-5 years of experience in mechanical design or product development.

Proficiency in using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).

Basic understanding of material properties, manufacturing techniques, and thermodynamics.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate technical information clearly.
