Software engineer

Job Description

As a Software Engineer, you develop applications that enable operators to monitor, control and supervise autonomous vessels during maritime operations. Your main focus is on user-facing applications and operational interfaces, including operator dashboards, mission planning tools and situational awareness displays. In this role, you translate complex system behaviour into intuitive and reliable user experiences.

You work closely with software, systems, robotics and vessel engineers to translate customer and system requirements into practical software solutions. Depending on your interests and experience, you can contribute across the software stack, from frontend development and system integration to communication with onboard control systems, sensors and autonomous navigation software. You also contribute to software architecture, testing and code reviews within an agile development environment.
