At a glance The entire ABN AMRO organization (worldwide) is dependent on the daily availability of the IT systems developed and managed by Private Infrastructure Platforms (PIP). PIP takes care of the daily operation and the realization of tactical and strategic changes within its scope so that it continuously meet the expectations of the consumers of Infrastructure. PIP is an Internal Service Provider that offers Mainframe, Open Systems, Connectivity and Datacentre services to its consumers. The scope is not limited to the Netherlands but extends over the entire ABN AMRO Bank.
The Private Cloud Services (PCS) department within PIP comprises the largest IT environment within ABN AMRO. It includes all parts within the Open Systems context that are required to fully serve consumers. In other words, Microsoft Windows Server, Red Hat Linux, IBM AIX, Oracle Databases, Messaging, File transfer, Application hosting, IBM DB2, Microsoft SQL, Active Directory, Storage, VMware and many other components are part of the scope.
Every day 1000's of IT people, bank employees and customers depend on not only the availability of these solutions, but also the necessary developments within this IT field. The dynamics within this area are therefore great, fun and challenging.
We are looking for a product owner for Active Directory on premise that functions as the backbone of the ABN AMRO IT landscape and enables all other teams with in the bank. As an experienced product owner you will be end-to-end responsible for Active Directory and its underlying infrastructure including the lifecycle management.
Your job Overall: Create your own product vision/strategy based upon ABN AMRO and department strategy and steer the Active Directory team to enable maximum business value.
As a tech-savvy product owner you will work on:
formulating a vision for Active Directory as part of the private cloud services target platform and define with the team how to get there
prioritizing and guiding the work of your team on multiple locations, so that you create optimal value for our organization
manage the stakeholders
developing new services and solutions to enable our business
managing dependencies between the various other scrum teams
steering the team on operating and services Active Directory on a 24/7 basis
responsible for finance and license management of the used infrastructure and products
In short: you direct the process of managing our on-prem Active Direcory. You ensure that developments within your team are in line with developments in other teams, and that the maintenance, security and developments contribute to our international PIP and ABN AMRO strategy.
Your profile You know how to deal with the pressure of a high exposure position like this in a complex environment. You are strong in creating a vision, partly due to your drive and energy, you are able to achieve goals and inspire the people around you. You use a facilitating leadership style.
You have strategic insight; you communicate easily with senior management and with your teams and you have execution power. You bring the matter constantly in motion. You know what is going on within the organization, what the business needs and take an exemplary role in striving to reach the goals.

Higher educational background and relevant work experience.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong focus on value (either for the bank or users)
You know how a bank works and have experience as a product owner
You oversee the complexity of regulation, compliance, legislation, risk, commercial interest, IT and know how this relates to each other.
Energetic by nature and focused on collaboration, a facilitating leadership style to achieve results.
Skilled in analysing and structuring complex problems, identifying solutions/options and presenting your advice to stakeholders in a convincing and structured manner.
