PURPOSE OF THE JOB AND ADDED VALUE
Excellent supply chain services are the result of fine collaboration between all stakeholders. It goes without further explanation that information exchange is key to good collaboration. LBC invests heavily in digital solutions to enable a seamless flow of information between all supply chain partners.
The Project Manager is accountable for the digital solutions in the domain Operational Excellence. The solutions for ‘Operational Excellence’ enable the seamless execution of our core processes on the terminals: the storage and shipment of our customers’ products.
We are continuously looking for opportunities to improve our ways-of-working. Adding value for our customers through innovative technologies is the major focus of this transformation. The Project Manager drives the introduction of such digital solutions in LBC and optimizes their contribution to our business success throughout their entire life cycle.
Tasks:
Is aware of all explicit demands and requirements that a project has to fulfill and defines the project scope
Analyzes solution alternatives, drafts a detailed design with test cases, and ensures compliance with enterprise architecture and information security policies
Manage the hand over to ‘run’
Leads one ore more (sub)projects; shows ownership results
Drafts a project plan (e.g. organization, time, costs and risks, test and roll-out strategies) and align with all contributors and stakeholders.
Leads the projects team members, both colleagues and external contributors
Manages the project budget and the risk log for the projects
Reports progress e.g. to a project steering committee and/or the Change Advisory Board

LBC Tank Terminals, with its’ headquarters in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, is an independent operator of midstream and downstream bulk liquid storage facilities for chemicals, oils and refined petroleum products currently owning and operating a global network of terminals with a combined storage capacity of 3.0 million m³.
Our global footprint consists of seven facilities located in Europe and America serving over 100 customers including all major players. We employ around 500 dedicated staff worldwide and generate annual revenue of $263 million.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND PLACE OF WORK

The Project Manager will report directly to the Chief Information & Technology Officer, member of the global management team of LBC. He or she will lead two teams of IT professionals consisting of approximately nine colleagues and contractors.
Furthermore, the Sr. Project Manager will work closely with the domain lead and the change managers on the business side
Of course, he or she will work in close collaboration with the other members of the Information and Technology leadership team.
WHAT WE BELIEVE YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL AS SR. PROJECT MANAGER 'OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE'
Professional education/experience and other requirements:
At least 5+ years of experience as Project Manager;
Experience in the supply change industry is preferred. Experience in the tank terminal industry is very big plus;
Experience in Change Management is a must;
Knowledge and experience in information technology, preferably computer science, business informatics and/or IT product management;
Good English is a must, good Dutch is highly desirable. Many stakeholders are Dutch-speaking.
