RF Systems Architect
Delft, ZUID-HOLLAND, Netherlands
€ 60.000 - 80.000
We are working with an industry leader in quantum technology and they are currently on the lookout for a forward-thinking RF Systems Architect to shape the future of control stacks for cutting-edge quantum computers and networks. This is your chance to play a pivotal role in crafting analog signals crucial for quantum bit control and readout, spanning frequencies from DC to the microwave range with unparalleled precision.
In the realm of quantum computing, our client achieves these analog properties through networks of top-tier FPGAs and high-speed data converters. Introducing the Q1, a classical CPU boasting a custom instruction set, ensuring real-time operation with nanosecond precision. Their unique hardware stack is complemented by a sophisticated software stack, translating user-defined quantum circuits into Q1ASM, their assembly language executable on the Q1 processor.
As an RF Systems Architect, your responsibilities extend to designing the next wave of products, tailor-made for operational High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments. Your role involves creating optimal integrations across diverse technical domains, collaborating closely with system architects, roadmap leaders, and engineering teams to bring your architectural vision to life. Additionally, you'll play a crucial part in securing our client's innovations through patent identification and application.
Your Profile as an RF Systems Architect
Master's or PhD in (quantum) computer science or electrical engineering
Structured documentation skills
Experience in at least two or more areas: CPU architectures, compilers, Python/C/C++ programming, system engineering, hard real-time systems, RF electronics, high-speed digital electronics, digital signal processing
Effective cross-functional collaboration
Critical thinking and problem-solving
Technical prowess in high-tech electronics development
Organisational planning and time management
Attention to detail and accountability
Decisive in uncertain situations
Team player with adaptive and stress-tolerant qualities
