At Xccelerated, we're looking for a Senior Data Platform Engineer to help evolve and scale a cloud data platform at a large, customer-facing energy organisation. You'll work alongside experienced engineers, data scientists and platform teams to build a robust, secure and reliable foundation for data-driven innovation.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Senior Data Platform Engineer, you will play a key role in building, running and improving the foundation of a modern data ecosystem.

Design and implement secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS

Build and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)

Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation, mainly in Python

Keep the platform stable, observable and cost-efficient, and continuously improve it

Enable data scientists and data engineers to bring pipelines and models into production

Contribute to the architecture and roadmap of the data platform, and sparring with your teammates as a senior

You are a hands-on senior engineer who enjoys building scalable platforms and working in complex technical environments.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cloud, IT, or a related field

5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Data Engineering or DevOps

Strong experience with AWS cloud services

Hands-on experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Familiar with tools like Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow, dbt or Kafka is a plus

Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus
