Responsibilities

Join an agile development team with a DevOps mentality to scale, develop and optimize a new platform built from scratch, with no legacy.

Work on scalable microservices and event-driven systems processing huge volumes of events.

Contribute to domain modelling, API design and data consistency within distributed systems.

Help define standards, ensure clean code and test automation are the norm, and uplift colleagues with your experience.

Collaborate on AI integration: use AI tools to generate unit tests, detect edge cases, speed up code reviews or prototype features; help integrate AI into the platform (e.g., anomaly detection, optimizing data flows, smart automation).

Expand your circle of influence and grow toward leadership (potential Tech Lead over time).

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in Java backend development.

Experience with Java 11+ (preferably Java 17 or 21) and Spring Boot.

Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS is a plus) and containerisation (Docker).

Understanding of architecture design (microservices, event-driven, etc.).

Experience with CI/CD and test automation.

Interest in AI applications is a strong plus.

Experience mentoring or coaching colleagues is a plus.

Salary between €75.000 and €90.000 depending on experience and impact.
