The Role

As a

Senior AI Engineer , you’ll take a hands‑on technical lead role in building and scaling their GenAI solution, working closely with a

Lead Data Scientist

and

Backend Engineer .

You’ll help design, develop, and deliver backend services and data pipelines that turn complex legal data into intelligent, automated insights.

This isn’t a research or data science role — it’s an engineering‑focused position for someone who loves solving real‑world problems with AI.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in developing and deploying production‑ready AI/ML systems

In‑depth expertise in Large Language Models, retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) and modern NLP techniques

Excellent knowledge of Python and advanced machine learning libraries (PyTorch, Transformers, LangChain, vector databases)

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration with Kubernetes

Proven track record in optimizing model performance, latency and costs

Knowledge of MLOps practices, CI/CD for ML and monitoring of production systems

The Offer

€92,000–€95,000 base + 4% bonus (36‑hour week, every other Friday off).

Hybrid: 2 days/week in The Hague (Tues & Thurs).

English‑speaking, international team (8 people, 4 nationalities).

Permanent or Detavast options available.
