Are you an experienced Java Developer who enjoys working on high-impact applications within a complex financial environment? For a leading financial institution in the Netherlands, we are looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer to strengthen a multidisciplinary development team.What you'll doDevelop and maintain business-critical backend applications using Java and Spring BootDesign and implement REST APIs and event-driven integrationsWork with technologies such as Kafka, Docker and KubernetesContribute to technical architecture and solution designImprove application performance, scalability and reliabilityWork closely with Product Owners, Architects and other engineersContribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated testingParticipate in code reviews and technical knowledge sharingWhat we're looking for5+ years of professional Java development experienceStrong experience with Java and Spring BootExperience with REST APIs and microservicesExperience with Kafka or another event-streaming platformExperience with Docker and/or KubernetesExperience working with CI/CDComfortable working in an Agile environmentStrong communication skills and a pragmatic mindsetNice to haveExperience within banking or financial servicesCloud experience, preferably AzureExperience with event-driven architectureExperience with automated testing
