Design & System Engineer

Job Description

Help Shape the Future of Pump Skid Engineering

Are you an experienced Design Engineer who enjoys turning technical concepts into detailed designs and calculations?

At Svanehøj EPS, we're looking for a Design & Systems Engineer who can strengthen our engineering team with solid design expertise, technical insight, and a practical approach. This is a newly created position within the organization, offering a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on how we engineer, standardize, and develop pump skid solutions for customers worldwide.

As part of the Projects team, you will work closely with the Application Engineer and Head of Projects to design and optimize custom pump skid systems for the marine, offshore, industrial, and energy sectors. You'll play a key role in translating customer requirements into high-quality engineering packages, 3D models, calculations, and detailed manufacturing drawings.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both technical depth and collaboration. Someone who is comfortable speaking up, sharing ideas, and helping shape engineering standards while remaining approachable and team-oriented.

Svanehøj EPS combines the entrepreneurial spirit of a family business with the strength and professionalism of an international organization.

For many years, EPS built its reputation on customer focus, technical expertise, and outstanding service. Today, as part of Svanehøj and the global ITT organization, the company is entering an exciting new phase of growth and professionalization while maintaining its strong customer-first mentality.

With approximately 40 employees, you'll join a close-knit team where communication is direct, decisions are made quickly, and your contribution truly matters.

What You'll Be Doing

Create detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and manufacturing documentation using SolidWorks, Inventor, and other CAD tools.

Design complete pump skid systems, including pumps, piping, valves, instrumentation, and supporting structures.

Perform engineering calculations and technical assessments to ensure optimal system performance.

Translate project and customer requirements into practical, manufacturable solutions.

Support project execution from concept through final delivery.

Help develop standardized and modular pump skid platforms.

Contribute to engineering best practices, templates, and reusable design concepts.

Reduce engineering lead times by increasing design reuse.

Support the professionalization of engineering processes across the organization.

Technical Collaboration

Work closely with Project Management, Sales, Procurement, Production, and Service teams.

Provide technical support during project execution and commissioning activities where required.

Act as a technical sparring partner within the engineering department.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an engineer who understands the technology behind industrial systems and enjoys creating detailed designs rather than only working on the commercial side of projects.

You likely bring:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.

Several years of experience as a Design Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Project Engineer, Systems Engineer, or similar role.

Strong CAD experience, preferably with SolidWorks or Inventor.

Experience creating technical drawings, layouts, and manufacturing documentation.

Knowledge of pumps, piping systems, process equipment, skid packages, or industrial installations.

Experience in marine, offshore, industrial, energy, or heavy engineering environments.

What You'll Get

Salary: €65.000 - €90.000,- depending on the work experience

A newly created role with significant influence and ownership.

A professional yet informal working environment.

International exposure within the Svanehøj and ITT group.

Flexible working arrangements when needed.

An English-speaking environment where Dutch is not required.

A close and supportive team that values both technical excellence and a good sense of humor.

Why Join?

This is more than a design engineering role.

It's an opportunity to become a key technical contributor in a growing organization that is investing heavily in its future. You'll help create smarter, more standardized engineering solutions while working on challenging projects for customers across the marine, industrial, offshore, and energy sectors.

If you enjoy engineering, solving technical challenges, and leaving a tangible mark on products and processes, we'd love to hear from you.
