Job Title: System Performance Architect
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands
Type: Permanent
Our client are a semiconductor company looking for permanent candidates to work on-site at their site in Amsterdam.
Responsibilities
Design and optimise OS-level scheduling and performance frameworks.
Develop CPU, GPU, and memory scheduling strategies.
Drive hardware-software co-optimisation across performance, power, and thermal constraints.
Identify and resolve critical system and application performance bottlenecks.
Improve application responsiveness, animation smoothness, and overall user experience.
Contribute to future technology roadmaps through research and industry analysis.
Requirements
Experience in OS performance optimisation, kernel development, or system scheduling.
Strong understanding of CPU/GPU/memory scheduling and resource management.
Knowledge of frequency scaling, task scheduling, and performance-aware system design.
Experience optimising application and framework performance at OS level.
Ability to translate research and emerging technologies into practical solutions.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Desirables
Background in mobile, embedded, or consumer operating systems.
Experience with large-scale platform development.
Exposure to performance-critical software architecture.
