The Product owner is responsible for defining a product vision and roadmap that achieves the desired business outcome and is embraced by all business stakeholders. He/she determines the tasks and priorities for the product team, making sure the team is set to deliver high quality efficiently and is focused on business impact. The Product Owner is accountable for managing the Product Backlog. You will actively contribute to shaping our product strategy, collaborating closely with the Director of Product to define a clear vision and roadmap aligned with KLM's overarching strategy. By ensuring flexibility and stakeholder support, you aim to make our strategy inspiring and strategically robust. Additionally, you will play a key role in crafting the yearly Budget and Business Plan through the product roadmap and P&L analysis. The focus will be on delivering value by balancing KLM's needs, business objectives, user requirements, and technical feasibility, translating these into a prioritized product backlog. You will closely monitor product performance and user adoption metrics to ensure we're meeting our goals. Moreover, by actively managing the product team, identifying any gaps in skills or capacity and aligning everyone around our vision and priorities to ensure successful project delivery
Other key result areas of the Product owner are:
Collaborate with (business) stakeholders to identify needs and dependencies and translates business needs and opportunities into new product ideas;
Manage the Product Backlog and prioritizes through clearly quantified business values;
Support in changing business processes, tools, and employee behavior when needed;
Ensure promotion of the product and communication to users;
Ensures the use of data by consumers in line with the Data Principles & Policy and raises Data Management Awareness.

Our Safety, Security & Crisis Management department ensures the safety of our passengers and crew and protects our aircraft and facilities. You'll be joining our product team dedicated to supporting the Crisis Management Organization within KLM. We're on the brink of replacing our Crisis Management System, which serves as the backbone for KLM Operations, enabling us to manage crises in the most effective and efficient manner possible. This marks one of the largest digital transformations in this business domain. Additionally, we're actively developing multiple innovative solutions to ensure business continuity, corporate emergency response, and much more. As a Product Owner, You will specialize in crafting effective solutions for complex products, even amidst uncertain or evolving requirements, while also integrating seamlessly with other products and driving innovation. Your experience spans implementing both off-the-shelf solutions and in-house applications, ensuring versatility in approach. You are passionate about identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities for value creation, benefiting not only the business units and KLM but also society at large. With a proven track record in defining product strategies, visions, and roadmaps, you will bring a strategic mindset to every project. Moreover, experience in managing complexity within product teams and navigating relationships with stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.
