Whatwill be your role:
The sustainability manager has the responsibilityto define and implement the Apollo Europe sustainability road map. This role steerApollo Europe sustainability efforts/initiatives by ensuring environmental,social, and economic responsibilities that will curb carbon emissions, ensuresocial responsibility, and favour green sustainable solutions/investments tocomply with the regulatory requirements.
Location: Amsterdam or Gyongyoshalasz
The position will be based in either Amsterdam, Netherlands or Gyongyoshalasz,Hungary as part of the Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering department,reporting directly to the head of the department.
What will be your role:
Recommendand implement sustainable strategies, framework and practices acrossEurope aligned with the Global Sustainability goals to ensureenvironmental, social, and economic responsibilities are met.
Implementan integrated approach across the business functions to achievesustainable growth in line with Apollo’s Environmental, Social, andGovernance (ESG) strategy.
Developthe reporting of Scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG emissions as well as the company’semissions reduction target, with continued improvement plan
Collaboratewith the senior management and executive team to integrate sustainabilityinto overall business strategy and operations.
Manageexternal consultants on projects related to ESG or sustainable productdesign as well
Workwith internal teams focused on energy conservation initiatives, greenerproducts and other ESG initiatives
Benchmarkon best practices, emerging trends, and risks related to sustainabilityand present to Global function to align all activities.
Implementa sustainability communication strategy to promote awareness andengagement within the organisation and with external stakeholders.
Ensure datacollection and compilation for ESG reporting and assurance.
Coordinatesustainable supply chain, CSR, D&I initiatives and projects as andwhen needed aligned with global Sustainability.
Identifyand coordinate ESG awards and recognition applications.

Do you have what it takes? (requirements)
Post-graduate degree qualified in an environmental, engineering, sustainability, or other related subject.
Professional certifications related to ESG, sustainability are a preferable
Minimum 5 years of experience in environment management / legislations
At least 3 years of experience in Renewable energy sector is preferable.
Relevant technical experience and knowledge of whole-life carbonassessment, climate risk management, decarbonisation roadmap forlarge-scale portfolios.
Experience with carbon calculations, corporate sustainability and/or ESG reporting.
Strong knowledge of ESGframework that ensure identification, assessment and management ofsustainability-related risks.
Strong knowledge of EuropeanESG regulations, EU Green deal and associated legislations.
