About The Role

We are seeking an experienced AWS Serverless Data Engineer to join our team in Amsterdam. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud-native, serverless architectures on AWS, with strong data engineering capabilities and a passion for building scalable, reliable systems. This role focuses on designing and delivering cloud-based solutions that support modern data platforms and enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable serverless solutions on AWS

Develop and optimize data pipelines and workflows

Implement infrastructure as code using AWS CDK

Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines

Ensure best practices in security, monitoring, and reliability across AWS environments

Build and support APIs and microservices using AWS serverless technologies

Develop efficient data processing and querying solutions

Required Skills & Experience

8–10 years of experience in cloud engineering, data engineering, or related roles

Strong hands-on experience with AWS serverless services including:

S3

Athena

Step Functions

Lambda

Glue

IAM

DynamoDB

API Gateway

Proficiency in Python and SQL

Experience with AWS CDK for infrastructure as code

Strong understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines

Strong data engineering background with experience building data pipelines and data solutions

Preferred Skills

Experience building highly scalable, distributed systems

Strong understanding of cloud security and governance

Experience working in Agile environments
