Group Finance Controller

Flow Traders is looking for an experienced Group Finance Controller to join our Global Finance team in our Amsterdam office. The ideal candidate is hands-on, strategic and has excellent communication and analytical skills. In this role, you will use your analytical background and will manage both internal and external stakeholders. You will work closely with our CFO, Board and finance & business teams in EMEA, APAC and the US.
What you will do Write clear and concise Board Papers relating to Share-based payments and Bonus Accruals
Research and write technical accounting papers on a wide variety of issues, including but not limited to financial instruments, digital assets and liabilities, intangible assets and business combinations
Deliver reliable, timely and accurate group financial reporting pack as part of month-close activities, which include financial accounting and control, analysis and group consolidation
Coordinate quarterly financial reporting including half year and annual reporting process, which includes managing external auditors, preparation of group financial statements in accordance with IFRS, statutory NL GAAP & regulatory reporting
Work closely with local finance and management teams, providing insights, maintaining high quality of financial data and supporting operational excellence/process improvements
Contribute to the improvement, automation and simplification of controlling activities and operational finance policies and processes
Participate in strategic group projects around balance sheet and funding optimization and other business initiatives
What you need to succeed 8-10 years of experience as a Group Financial Controller
University Degree in Finance, Accounting & Control, Controlling or Accounting, RA / CPA / CA or equivalent
Experience with coordination of finance teams in a demanding and fast-paced international environment
Excellent communication, listening and influencing skills
Technical knowledge of IFRS, financial regulation (IFR/IFD) and management of capital requirements
Strong business acumen with strategic thinking mindset
Proven reporting skills and attention to detail
Ability to handle strict deadlines
Strong Excel skills, data savvy and nice to have: SQL/VBA, Exact Globe, OneStream experience
