We’re looking for a

Junior Software Developer

with around

3+ years of commercial development experience

to join a technology team in Amsterdam on an initial

6-month contract .

This is a great opportunity for a Java-focused developer who enjoys building customer-facing applications and working with modern, distributed systems. You’ll be working in a collaborative engineering environment, contributing to applications operating at significant scale.

What you’ll bring

3+ years of professional software development experience

Strong experience with

Java, Spring Boot and microservices

— specific versions are not required

Experience building and supporting

customer-facing applications

Experience working with

SQL and/or NoSQL databases

A relevant technical background in

Java, backend development and distributed systems

Experience working on

large-scale applications , ideally supporting

10,000+ users

Clear evidence of

project impact and measurable contributions , rather than simply a list of responsibilities

Good understanding of software development practices, collaboration and version control

Nice to have experience with:

Kafka

AWS

Docker

FinTech or financial services

The role

You’ll have the opportunity to work on backend services and customer-facing applications within a modern technology environment. You’ll collaborate with other developers and technical stakeholders to design, develop and improve reliable, scalable software.
