Overview
Job Title: Security Engineer – Microsoft Specialist
Remote • 600 - 800 EUR Per Day • Must be based in Netherlands
We’re seeking an experienced Security Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft technologies to join a global company within the financial sector.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain security architecture in Microsoft environments (Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, etc.)
Monitor and manage security incidents using Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Sentinel
Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability scans across Microsoft systems and recommend remediation
Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to embed security best practices in Microsoft-based infrastructure
Provide guidance and support for security-related audits and incident response
Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on Microsoft environments
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Azure Security Center, Microsoft Intune, and Microsoft Purview
Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365 security features, Active Directory, and Azure AD
Proficient in scripting and automation (PowerShell preferred)
Understanding of Zero Trust architecture and secure cloud principles
